OFF THE COUCH
Many films in the outdoor industry film harrowing feats, first ascents and never before scene expeditions. The footage is amazing, the accomplishments are incredible, but they can be hard to relate to for most audiences. Jaymie's story is one that is relatable. From being a couch potato to setting a goal to climb all 46 Adirondack high peaks, Jaymie's life changed for the better. Since filming this Jaymie has gone on to climb peaks around the world including Mt. Kilimanjaro and Aconcagua with plans to tackle more of the 7 summits.
We took a targeted approach with our film festival submission and showcased locally in Ontario to inspire those from Jaymie's province, at the Maine Outdoor Film Festival to target those familiar with hiking in the Northeastern United States, and the Front Range Film Festival in Colorado to share the beauty of the Northeast with those familiar with high mountains.
Off The Couch won the Audience Choice Award for Best Short Film at the Sudbury Outdoor Adventure Reels Film Festival.
